Informative graphics are used at the start of each book to introduce the concept of how sedimentary rock and archaeological digs can reveal the story of time.
Each main dinosaur featured on each spread has a scale panel to show its size compared with a human adult.
Each spread features a small world map panel to show where the fossils had been discovered.
